Detectronic
Elevation and inspection in one machine

Incline block conveyors

A cleated incline conveyor that lifts product from floor level to the infeed of a grinder, mixer or packing line — with metal detection built into the same frame, so the product is inspected on the way up rather than in a separate step.

The problem it solves

Two jobs, one machine, one handling step

Most plants have a point where product has to be lifted — out of a bin or off the floor and up into a grinder, mixer or hopper. That lift is usually a separate conveyor, and the metal detection is usually somewhere else again.

Combining them removes a transfer point. Fewer transfers mean less product damage, less spillage to clean up, less floor space taken and one less machine to maintain. It also means the contamination is found before it reaches the grinder rather than after, which is the difference between rejecting a batch and replacing a set of blades.

Detection before the grinder is worth more than detection after it. A piece of metal that reaches a grinder damages the machine, contaminates everything downstream of it and turns one rejected block into a rejected batch. Inspecting on the incline catches it while it is still a single, removable item.

Application

What it handles

Frozen blocks

Frozen meat and fish blocks fed to a grinder or block flaker. The cleats hold the block on the incline instead of letting it slide back.

Mince and trim

Minced product, trim and offcuts being elevated to a mixer, filler or weighing station.

Bulk and loose product

Loose product that would roll or slide on a flat belt — whole cuts, vegetables, portions and frozen goods.

In production

The machine running

Filmed in a customer plant: product loaded at floor level, inspected on the incline and discharged into the grinder infeed.

Installed on site. The incline angle, discharge height and belt width are set by the plant, not by a catalogue.

Built to the plant, not to a standard length

The whole point of an incline conveyor is that it has to reach a specific machine at a specific height. We build the frame to your discharge height, incline angle, belt width and cleat spacing — and we build it in our own workshop, so a change to the layout is a drawing revision rather than a new supplier.

  • Discharge height and incline angle set by your layout
  • Belt width and cleat height set by the product
  • Hopper, side guards and support legs to suit the loading method
  • Control position and operator interface placed where the operator stands
Construction

Made to be cleaned and kept running

Quick belt release

The belt releases for cleaning without tools, so the cleaning crew can reach the frame and the underside within the cleaning window.

Hygienic stainless frame

Stainless construction with open sections and no closed boxes for water to sit in. Sealed levelling feet at floor level.

Washdown rated

Available in a full washdown specification for plants that clean at pressure — the same construction principles as our WET DETECT range.

Serviced by us

Built in Støvring, so the drawings, the spare parts and the technician who knows the machine all come from the same place.

Every incline conveyor is a made-to-order machine. Send us the layout — the receiving machine, the height and the product — and we will come back with a drawing.

Next step

Send us the layout

Tell us what the conveyor has to feed, how high it has to reach and what the product is. If you have a plan drawing or even a photograph of the space, that is usually enough for us to come back with a proposal.

We reply within one working day

Ask about incline block conveyors

Describe the product, the receiving machine and the height. A technician comes back with a concrete proposal.

Free and without obligation

Send us your product — we will measure what can be detected

You receive a written test report with equipment description, test conditions, false reject rate and probability of detection. Normally within a week. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
