Eight ways we solve it
Which system is right is decided by how the product moves through your line — on a belt, through a pipe, or in free fall — and by how hard the line is cleaned. Not by what you produce.
With or without conveyorTunnel Detectors
End-of-line inspection of packed and unpacked product. Supplied as a detector head for your own line, or as a complete unit with conveyor and reject.

1.5" to 10", with reject systemPipeline Detectors
For pumped and semi-solid product. Installed between filler and clipper, or directly after the stuffer. 0.5 mm FE basic sensitivity.

Ø60 to Ø320Free Fall Detectors
For free-falling powders, granules and bulk. Hygienic reject valve with no critical edges, so the product flow does not clog.

Standalone or combined with a detectorCheckweighers
Dynamic weight control on its own, or as a combination system with metal detection in one frame and one control system.

Cleated incline conveyor with metal detection built into the same frame — feeding a grinder, mixer or packing line without a second handling step.

Over 100 shapes and sizesCustom Solutions
We design and build in house. If the application does not fit a standard machine, we draw one that does.
View custom solutions →A different machine for a different environment
Our standard detectors are built for food production. WET DETECT is built for the toughest and harshest environments in it — intensive daily cleaning, high-pressure washdown, hot water and chemicals, and hygiene requirements that leave no room for a hidden surface.
- IP68 / IP69K — full washdown protection, designed for high-pressure cleaning rather than merely surviving it
- Stainless construction throughout, with hygienic components and no dirt traps
- Built to be cleaned — the geometry follows the cleaning routine, so the crew can do the job properly in the time they have
- Vibration-free and stable operation, because movement in the coil's own field is what produces false rejects
Available as conveyor and pipeline systems. If your plant washes down daily, this is the specification to ask about from the start — not an upgrade to consider later.
Both systems, filmed under high-pressure washdown at our own works. No studio, no cuts.
The environment decides the specification
Wet, salted and chilled makes entirely different demands than dry and fast. See what is actually critical in your production.
Danish engineering, European build standard
Every Detectronic machine is designed and manufactured in Denmark. Not assembled here from imported modules — designed here, fabricated here, tested here, and serviced by the people who built it. Building this way keeps the quality where it belongs and the price where it should be.
Made in Denmark since 1986
Detection electronics, mechanical design, stainless fabrication and assembly all happen at our own works in Støvring. Forty years of it, in a country whose food industry is among the most heavily audited in the world.
A control unit swapped in under three minutes
Our own concept, not an industry standard. If an electrical fault occurs, you do not wait for a repair — the complete control unit is replaced immediately and the faulty one comes back to us for analysis. It is the difference between a line that restarts before the shift ends and one that does not.
How the Service Exchange Concept works →Specified for your product and your line
Dry, chilled, wet or full washdown — we specify the detector around what you actually make and how the plant is actually run. A dry snack line and a deboning hall need different machines, and we would rather sell you the right one.
One industry, four decades
Food inspection has been at the core of Detectronic since 1986. Our systems are developed first and foremost for the demanding requirements of food production, where hygiene, reliability and consistent detection performance matter every day.
The practical consequence: custom is an engineering decision rather than a request sent abroad, spare parts come from us for machines decades old, and when you call you reach someone who can answer.
We also service the machines we did not build
Calibration, validation, spare parts and emergency support, worldwide through our own engineers and a distributor network built over four decades. Need documentation for a BRCGS, IFS or FSSC audit? You get it with the visit.
Send us your product — we will measure what can be detected
You receive a written test report with equipment description, test conditions, false reject rate and probability of detection. Normally within a week. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
