This is a Detectronic concept, not an industry standard. When an electrical fault occurs, you do not wait for a repair. The complete control unit is swapped for a working one — in under three minutes — and the faulty unit comes back to us afterwards.
It is the difference between a line that restarts before the shift ends and one that does not.

The complete control unit is swapped for a working one. On the 607TD this takes under three minutes.

We analyse and repair
The faulty unit is returned to Detectronic for analysis and repair — or repaired locally by your distributor or partner.
The cost of a stopped line is not the repair
On a food production line, a detector fault does not just cost the fix. It costs the shift. Product that has run since the last passed test may have to be held, the packing line backs up, and if the detector is a critical control point you cannot simply carry on without it.
